Your Spartan mower already rides great—here are a few simple ways to make it even better.

Consider Suspension Upgrades

Some Spartan owners choose to add suspension upgrades to improve ride comfort. These upgrades can include:

Suspension Seats & Front Suspension Forks

Installing a suspension seat on a mower is a good option because it absorbs shocks and vibrations, making the ride more comfortable and reducing fatigue during long operating hours.

Spartan RZ-C and RZ models can be upgraded to the RZ-PRO seat shock kit that will install under the seat to achieve a smooth ride. >Seat Shock Kit

Spartan's front suspension forks are another great option to upgrade. The suspension forks add a spring and shock system that absorbs impacts on uneven lawns resulting in a more comfortable ride.

Tire Pressure and Design

Tire pressure plays a large role in how your mower is going to ride and handle uneven terrain. Recommended front tire pressure is 8-10psi while rear tire pressure is ideally 10-12psi. You can adjust to achieve the ride that you are looking for.

Tire Design
Spartan offers a front radial tire design that will allow you to run a lower psi, in turn, producing a softer ride by absorbing the uneven ground more softly. This is a great option for someone looking to improve ride quality on several models. Check out those radials right here. >Radial Front Tires

Rear Tires

You may find that your mower’s rear tires are worn, losing air, and causing a rougher ride than expected. While tire patches can offer a temporary fix, they often only provide a short-term solution before replacement becomes necessary. Fortunately, we keep Spartan tires in stock and ready to ship, making it easy to get the reliable replacement tires you need delivered right to your door.
